September Photo of the Month: Art Hill Flags of Valor

Forest Park commemorates victims and late heroes of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and fallen soldiers in the war that followed with more than 7,500 flags representing each person’s life (containing personal information on each flag). Each name was read allowed followed by the chiming of a bell beginning Sep. 10 and continuing to Sep. 11. This year marked the 20th anniversary of the four terrorist attacks by Al Qaeda, most notably the destruction of the Twin Towers.
