- Senior Martez Blair found himself playing defense against the opponent in the Student vs. Staff game. “Coach Hardy didn’t score because of my defense, and I was like the best player on my team,” Blair said.
- Junior Josiah Conley goes for a layup to keep the students in the lead right after half time. Unfortunately, his attempt was in vain due to staff member Russell Vincent’s defense.
- Staff member Josh Martin attempts a layup over Conley to add points on the scoreboard. He effortlessly swishes the layup, chipping away at the students’ lead.
- Teacher Jody Chambers steps up to guard junior Alex Hua which lead to him passing the ball. Her defense lead to them not scoring. “I always like the hype that I bring. I felt good playing the game, just didn’t want to get hurt while playing the game because I broke my foot playing the game five years ago,” Chambers said.
- Sophomore Sophie Casas closes out on the defender to make it harder to make the shot. Hardy makes the shot in the end and hurriedly gets ready for defense to maintain the teachers’ sudden lead.
- Senior Aiden Peete shoots a three-pointer to keep the students in the game. He misses but hustles back to get another shot at making it.
- junior Kamron Lebramlett stands waiting to catch the ball after his teammate rushes to pass him the ball when he is not able to get a good look at a shot. He puts the shot up fearlessly and makes it to close the gap for the students.
- Seniors Messiah Smith, Everett Cui, and Collin Griffin run to the locker room to talk amongst the team about how to defeat the staff. Unfortunately,they were narrowly defeated by the teachers 48-44.
