Vikings end amazing season in overtime loss

During a crucial drive on Nov. 3, Parkway North’s defense cannot stop Warrenton’s advance downs. Warrenton was up by 7 going into the fourth quarter.

The result of the drive was a touchdown diminishing North’s hopes of winning districts. Going into districts North was 9-1 being beaten only by Rockwood Summit.

Answering Warrenton’s drive, North marches down the field to allow Messiah Smith to score a touchdown. “As for my teammates, I feel like they did a great job even though we didn’t win last Friday,” sophomore Josiah Stamey said. “I feel like we still had a great game, and we still have great people that we can have next year.”

Adding to the excitement, senior Henry Mohrmann scores a game-tying touchdown. With just over three minutes left, the Vikings increased their chances of winning and making it to the next round of districts.

Junior Jordan Clark congratulates Hank knowing there’s more work to be done. “We’ve never been this successful,” senior Keylan Mitchell said. “It feels good to be a great team again, but I know we can do a lot more.”
