On Tuesday, May 17, students from University of Missouri-St. Louis and their teacher visited North’s percussion class to play for them. The percussion students were also given the opportunity to learn music from African culture and they played along with their guests. “It was really cool,” freshman Matthew Stolze said. “I got to hear music from around the world in styles that I’ve never heard before.”

The teachers lost their winning streak of the student vs. staff kickball game during academic lab on Wednesday, April 27 with a final score of 13-2. The game was held to help fund and raise money for the Siteman Cancer Center, which North was able to bring in over $500 for the organization. “It was a super fun atmosphere to see the teachers finally lose against the students and North needs more extra events like this out of the classroom to get better student involvement inside the classroom,” said junior Taylor Blackman.

“Lunch is my favorite time of the day. Parkway dose a great job of serving us and making sure we have that nutrition we need and I don’t think enough credit goes out to them,” said junior Amirah Grumbs.
“They give us an opportunity to take a break in the day, I just wish it were longer, especially when we get to eat outside,” said junior Nathaniel Fields.

North seniors celebrate their last basketball game of their high school careers after defeating the Fox Warriors on Senior Night on Feb. 22, 2022. For Donovan Sawyer, Senior Night was a great conclusion to his high school basketball career. “[Senior Night] was really fun,” Sawyer said. “I had some of the most memorable moments playing during high school, and I wouldn’t change any bit of it.”

Mascio James, “Agent 0”, steals the ball in the second quarter on Jan. 21 at home against Seckman. With the 65-29 win, Parkway North gains a 9-7 record. James had multiple defensive plays including steals, rebounds, and scoring opportunities prevented making his return to North basketball in the second semester a welcomed event for the team. The three game win streak continues.
